Synopsis: Edward Waite, an elderly moderate Labour politician is about to receive a peerage. A television company wants to make a documentary about his life, but his daughter is rightly suspicious about their intentions and the angle they will follow. His Marxist son is disgusted and berates his father, ending in a confrontation between the two of them over political philosophies and past actions.
